ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking Volunteer Porters for our long-term care home! Our Volunteer Porters work closely with our Recreation Team. They escort residents to and from program locations to enhance their quality of life and overall well-being by facilitating the attendance to programs. We welcome high school and university students who require volunteer hours for course work or admittance to post-secondary education. (Students must be at least 14 years of age.)
We encourage a minimum commitment of 6 months and/or 60 hours of volunteer work to foster meaningful relationships and building a sense of community which comes from such a commitment (exceptions are students in the co-op, placement and community service programs).
