What ‘Here for All’ looks like

Behind every number is a person finding connection, discovering who they are, building friendships or knowing their community is there for them.

Finding belonging in a new home

“When we arrived in Canada, we didn’t know anyone. The Jewish community gave us something priceless — a sense of belonging, safety and genuine care at a time when we needed it most.

PJ Library brought friendship, connection and joyful moments with my little one, reminding me that we were never alone.”

Carrying our story forward

“March of the Living gave me the opportunity to connect with Jewish history in a way I never had before. Standing in the places where the Holocaust happened, and then travelling to Israel, made me think differently about what it means to be Jewish today.

I came home with a stronger connection to my identity, my community and the responsibility we have to carry our story forward.”

Creating, learning and connecting

“AJA 50+ has so much amazing programming. I particularly love the art classes. I’ve learned so many amazing techniques and discovered new ways to express myself creatively — things I never imagined I could do. But just as important are the friendships and connections I’ve made along the way.

The classes give me a place to be creative, keep learning and feel truly connected to my community.”

A place to feel at home

“Hillel Lodge is a wonderful place to be when you need it. There is such a good feeling of being Jewish here — from matzo ball soup and brisket on Friday night to the programs and activities that bring us together. The staff are incredibly kind and always give us that extra TLC. I even call my shower nights ‘spa nights’ because they take such care to make them special.

My late husband, Jules, spent his last days here, and I saw firsthand how the staff went above and beyond to keep him comfortable and happy. Now I experience that same care myself.

They always go the extra mile to make us smile and help us enjoy a good quality of life. We are in the best of hands.”
Care, dignity and Jewish life at every age.

ONE GIFT.
AN ENTIRE COMMUNITY.

A gift to the Annual Community Campaign does more than support a single program. It helps sustain the network of organizations, services and experiences that make Jewish life possible across Ottawa.

It means a newcomer can find community. A teenager can deepen their Jewish identity. A student can find Shabbat away from home. A senior can receive a kosher meal and compassionate care.

Different needs. Different moments. One community showing up.
