Join us, Jewish communities, Holocaust Institutions and Federations across Canada virtually, on Thursday, April 8 at 7 PM EDT, to commemorate Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day 2021. As a nation, we will come together to honour the victims of the Shoah and pay tribute to Canada’s diverse community of Holocaust survivors.  Featuring special guests from the east to the west, poignant readings and survivor testimony, providing us with continued strength as Canadians during these unprecedented times.

Announcing our 2021 Yom Hashoah Virtual Cross-Canada Commemoration of the Holocaust @offcialJakeEpstein. Join Jake once again as he hosts a meaningful program, sharing inspiring and personal sentiments, bringing our nation together to commemorate this important date of remembrance.

By remembering the past, we can educate the future and inspire change in the hope of ensuring a better tomorrow. On Yom Hashoah 2021, join Canadians across the country, to be part of the change that will promote a more peaceful, inclusive and positive future for everyone.

Program Highlights include:

// Greetings from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

// Curated films featuring survivor testimony

// Musical performances

On Yom Hashoah, we remember and commemorate the approximately 6 million Jewish lives that were taken in the Shoah. Each person had a face, a name and story. We honour those murdered by reflecting on their lives through the stories of the survivors who bring life to these individuals. Join us April 8 at 7 PM EDT to honour the survivors and pay tribute to the victims.

This Yom Hashoah we come together as a nation to honour the victims and pay tribute to Canadian Holocaust survivors, who contributed greatly to the fabric of our society. More than 40,000 survivors found their way to Canada postwar. This country became a safe haven; a place where they could grow, live freely, peacefully and prosper. Join us on April 8 to reflect on their journeys and honour their experiences.

By sharing their experiences, Holocaust survivors have shed light on some of the most difficult circumstances. Join us on Yom Hashoah 2021 to be inspired by their enduring words, ongoing messages of hope and pay tribute to their resilience.
