The Jewish Federation of Ottawa is proud to launch the Jewish Educators of Ottawa (JEO) support network, designed to foster a community of Jewish educators who can learn together, support each other, and collaboratively address challenges such as antisemitism in Ontario schools.
About the network
JEO will offer a series of programs throughout winter and spring 2025. These sessions are built in partnership with dedicated lay leaders in our community and aim to provide meaningful opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and support.

Session 4: Graduation — Wrap-up, Celebrate, Debrief

Join us for the wrap-up session of the Jewish Educators of Ottawa network, featuring two inspiring speakers from the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB)—Nabil Ahmed, Racialized Student Support Coordinator, and Brian Kom, Jewish Equity Instructional Coach. Together, they are dedicated to fostering inclusive, safe, and caring school communities.
This engaging presentation will highlight our shared responsibility to support one another, explore conflict through the lens of intent versus impact, and teach us how to adopt a win/win approach to resolve tensions and disagreements.
Celebrate the end of the school year with colleagues while enjoying a delightful wine and cheese reception.
Session 1: Shockwaves of October 7th – Building Skills to Cope
