Genesis is a community of parents committed to passing on the values of tzedakah, philanthropy, and Jewish communal responsibility.
From one generation to the next.
Genesis brings together Ben Gurion Society alumni and families with children under 18 who make an annual household gift of $1,000 or more to the Annual Community Campaign.
From Generation to Generation, Genesis creates meaningful opportunities for families to learn, serve, and give together – putting Jewish values into action and showing our children what it means to care for our community.
- Learn together about the work of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa and the 35 organizations supported through the Annual Community Campaign
- Serve together through meaningful volunteer opportunities, including bar and bat mitzvah project options and high school volunteer hours
- Plan for the future through family workshops on financial planning, philanthropy, and endowment
- Build friendships with other families who share the value of tzedakah
- Create a family legacy of giving back to the community that supports us as we raise the next generation
We hope your family will join us at the beginning of this new chapter – and help shape what Genesis will become for generations to come.
