Emerging Generation

The Emerging Gen (or "EG") is a special division of the Federation aimed at young adults under 40. We develop exciting and innovative programs that allow young people to meet and mingle and develop their professional contacts. There are social events, workshops to hone skills and to network, grant programs, and much more.

Find out more about the Emerging Generation, (ages 18-45) and our Co-chairs Jared Jenicek, Samantha Sigler and Shlomi Barshan here.

Interested in connecting with other young adults in Ottawa? Why not start with meeting our new Campaign Engagement Specialist, Michael Reznick?

Always a free event and the first drink is on us!

Think n’ Drink is a new monthly program that encourages thinking while drinking.

Imagine TED Talks, only better!

Each month, we will host a different speaker on various topics such as business, science, lifestyles, and more, to talk about their field in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

A June event will be announced soon!

Ben Shillow
We welcome the owner of the only Kosher brewery in Canada, and one of the best in Ottawa. Ben will tell us about the challenges in establishing a business from the ground up, and how he promotes his kosher beer to bar owners and will answer the biggest question of all: Do we (and why) need a kosher brewery in Canada?

Abigail Bimman - Behind the Scenes Covering the Hill with Global News
From flying on the Prime Minister's plane, to life on the road in campaign buses and chasing stories (and politicians) around Parliament Hill - Global National reporter Abigail Bimman joins us for the next session of Think n' Drink. Abigail will tell us all about life as a reporter, both on TV and behind-the-scenes, and what it takes to cover the country's biggest political stories in a never-ending news cycle.
