Russian Jewry and the Revolutions of 1917
In recognition of the recent 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution, esteemed scholar, Professor Eugene Orenstein will speak on these fateful events with special emphasis on the effect upon and the role played by Russia's Jews during this period. During his 39 year academic career in the Department of Jewish Studies at McGill University, Professor Orenstein specialized in modern Jewish social and intellectual history.
