The Glebe Minyan hosts its Second Annual Rosh Hashanah Seder and Vegetarian Potluck.
Rosh Hashanah Seders incorporate blessings that add meaning to this holiday dinner. Before a vegetarian potluck, we will recite blessings over special foods like apples (for sweetness), dates (for peace), green beans (for prosperity), pomegranate (for mitzvahs), pumpkin (for happiness), beet leaves (for freedom), leeks (for friendship) and a head of lettuce (for leadership).
Ritual foods will be provided. Please bring a vegetarian salad, main dish or dessert for 6 - 8 to share. Mark your dish with the ingredients, thank you. (If you don't like/want to cook, please RSVP for a list of other items that are needed.)
Everyone is welcome! All of our events are open to the public.
