Rabbi Deborah Zuker will examine in detail prayers that are unique to High Holiday worship services including Malchuyot/Zichronot/Shofarot on Rosh Hashanah; and Kol Nidre and U’netaneh Tokef on Yom Kippur; and other sections of the Amidah unique to each holiday. We will read these liturgical poems, learning about their origin and meaning, and consider how we can relate to them today.
