Adath Shalom will celebrate Purim on Thursday evening Feb. 25, 2021. We will start at 6:30 PM
Please join us on Zoom and try to wear something fun and appropriate for Purim. There will be the opportunity to display and describe your costumes after our megillah reading.

The program will consist of:
i) a quick evening service using our regular Siddur Lev Shalem
ii) an engaging slightly abbreviated Megillah reading with one household responsible for each chapter. We are encouraging Megillah readers to read sections of the Megillah that have dialogue in voices which simulate the different characters in the story. Megillah readers will lead their section in Hebrew or English. Members are encouraged to bring noisemakers so as try and drown out the name of the evil Haman whenever it is mentioned during the reading.
iii) a fun family-oriented Purim activity which will include:
- a virtual costume parade with children and others briefly showcasing and describing their costumes
- Purim songs, Purim jokes and general merry-making
