MCpl (ret.) Jody Mitic is an Ottawa City Councillor representing Innes Ward. Prior to entering politics, Mitic served in the Canadian Army as a sniper. He lost both of his legs in a landmine incident while fighting in the War in Afghanistan in 2007.
