Mahatma Gandhi Peace Council of Ottawa (MGPCO) (https://gandhiji.ca/), a non-profit, civil society organization is holding a Peace Walk on 26 September 2026, as a part of the celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary (Gandhi Jayanthi), falling on Friday 2 October 2026. Peace, non-violence and inclusiveness – the values Mahatma Gandhi preached and practiced are particularly relevant in the present time marked by division, conflict and inequality. The Peace Walk aims to promote peace and harmony by bringing together diverse citizenry in the Ottawa community and raise awareness about Gandhian values of truth, non-violence and inclusiveness
