This is a community forum, to generate interest in Temple Israel's new Palliative Care Outreach Program, and promote and discuss the ideas of Advanced Care Planning. Retired Senator Sharon Carstairs is our keynote speaker; John Fraser MPP and local palliative care physician Dr. Paul Hacker are also on the panel.

We are looking to build a team of trained volunteer Visitors to provide spiritual support and companionship from a Jewish perspective to those in our community in Palliative Care, at end-of-life, and their families.

The panel will speak about Advanced Care Planning and Palliative Care. The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas after speeches. While this is a kick-off event for our volunteer program, the ACP information will be of interest to all.
