We are pleased to present our upcoming lecture on the history of Jewish Presence in the Yukon by Ottawa native, Rick Karp.

Rick Karp was born and raised in Ottawa. He and his wife, Joy, moved to Whitehorse in 1985. In 1998 Rick worked with the Jewish Community in Whitehorse to find, restore, and rededicate the Jewish Cemetery in Dawson City, which was created in 1902. Rick is currently the President of the Jewish Cultural Society of Yukon.

Rick has written 4 books, and participated in the publication of a book on the “Jewish Presence in the Yukon, Before, During and After the Klondike Gold Rush”.

Lecture will be held over Zoom.
