An eclectic mix of influences from Yiddish to Arabic can be found in Modern Hebrew communication, especially in its slang. Learning slang is a great way to fit in with locals and develop a rapport: for anyone moving to Israel, or for those simply curious about colloquial Hebrew. It’s no secret that Israel’s mandatory service has a profound effect on Israeli culture. In this session we will cover terms and phrases that were born out of the IDF.
