In honour of Mother’s Day, Adath Shalom Adult Education presents on ZOOM Rabbi Deborah Zuker explorng images and themes of motherhood from the Jewish tradition. From well-known stories of our Matriarchs to poetry and Talmudic representations of mothers, she will discuss what aspects of the family experience have changed, which have stayed the same, and how mothers and motherhood are viewed and valued in the Jewish tradition.
In the second part of the session we will share some personal stories and pictures of our mothers and discuss how they influenced our lives spiritually.
