If Not Now, When? Responsibility and Memory After the Holocaust

Carleton University's Max and Tessie Zelikovitz Centre for Jewish Studies is pleased to host “If Not Now, When? Responsibility and Memory After the Holocaust, " a public conference in recognition of Canada's Assumption of the Chair of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (formerly the ITF). This conference will bring together Canadian parliamentarians, senior Holocaust studies scholars, survivors and other public figures to discuss issues involving the Alliance’s mandate of remembrance, education and research. Distinguished speakers will include the Honourable Minister Jason Kenney; the Honourable Irwin Cotler; Dr. Andrew Bennett, Ambassador for the Office of Religion Freedom; Dr. Mario Silva, the Canadian Chair of the IHRA, and Professor Irving Abella. Note that there is a key note address by the Honourable Irwin Cotler from 6:00-7:00 p.m. that is open to the public. APRIL 25: The second day of the conference will take place in Residence Commons with registration starting at 8:30am and sessions ending at 6:00pm. Note that there is a closing address by Professor Irving Abella from 6:00-7:00 p.m. that is open to the public. Registration prices include both April 24th and 25th. Those who have registered online may pick up their registration package on site at any point after 8:30 a.m. on April 24th
