The "For the Child" photographic exhibition tells the story of the organized rescue transport of Jewish children to Great Britain in 1938-1939. This bilingual exhibit will offer an excellent opportunity for the community to learn about the incredible story of the Kindertransport - a topic that has never been presented in Ottawa.

The Kindertransport rescue enabled more than 10,000 children who were considered Jewish, according to the Nuremberg race laws, to depart for Great Britain from Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia between the end of November 1938 and September 1, 1939.
