“Disobedience” tells the story about Sousa Mendes, a Portuguese consul stationed in Bordeaux, France during World War II. He issued visas to thousands of refugees trying to escape the Nazi occupation. The visas allowed for a safe passage through Spain to Lisbon. One of the ancestors of the visa recipients, as well as the grandson of Sousa Mendes, Louis Phillip will be hosting an introduction and Q/A after the film.
