Too often, we approach the topic of death only to realize there are many important questions we’ve yet to consider—both for ourselves and for our loved ones. In the supportive environment of our Temple community, we invite you to come together to learn and reflect as we explore death and dying through a Jewish lens.

Our panel will feature Rabbi Mikelberg, Tammy Torontow (Executive Director of Jewish Memorial Gardens), and Jon Snipper (retired Ottawa lawyer). Together, they will address a range of meaningful topics, including living wills and advance directives, power of attorney for personal care, MAID, end-of-life rituals, and Jewish burial practices.

 

 

The session will include brief presentations followed by an opportunity for questions and open discussion.
