Samuel Bak was born in Vilna, Poland in 1933. He and his mother survived the Holocaust. Bak became an international artist. This important Holocaust artist uses metaphors to engage the viewer. Discussion of his works will be encouraged by the presenter, Rose Ann Hoffenberg, a volunteer docent at the National Gallery of Canada.
