Meeting Point Ministries is one of the Jewish Community's biggest allies.
It is with great joy and anticipation that we extend this invitation to you for a very special occasion—the 7th Anniversary Celebration of Meeting Point Ministries, a ministry dedicated to fostering and facilitating unity among pastors and leaders in the body of Christ.
This event will be an extraordinary time of thanksgiving to God for the ongoing growth in friendships and relationship-building between Christians, Jews, and Catholics, especially at a time when antisemitism and hate against the Jewish people and nation continue to rise around the world. We are humbled and grateful for the progress made in the last seven years as we have worked across denominational lines—uniting black and white, Christian, Catholic, and Jewish communities in the spirit of collaboration and unity.
The Christian community here in Ottawa have continued to rise up to stand to defend our Jewish friends against antisemitism in the best way possible. We have had several occasions including rallies, community awareness campaign, leadership gatherings to sensitize different clergy groups on creating better and more effective and efficient communication dissemination regarding antisemitism to their congregations.
As head of the Christian Pastors & Leaders Unity community in Ottawa, I and my team, teamed up with the Jewish Federation of Ottawa and Kehillat Beth Israel Congregation on 7th October 2024 to mark the one-year anniversary commemoration of the horrific October 7th attack.
As we reflect on this achievement, we are reminded of the words of Jesus in John 17, where He prayed for His followers to be one, and we recognize that while progress has been made, there is still much work to be done. Your presence at this celebration will not only encourage us but also speak to the importance of unity in our world.
The event will also serve as a time of prayer, dedication, and consecration for Pastor Isaac Gimba and his wife, Dr. Diana Gimba. This special moment will empower and launch them further into the beautiful work of unity and prayer that God has called them to lead in our city and nation. Additionally, we will be celebrating Pastor Gimba's remarkable 60th Diamond Jubilee birthday, as well as their 35th wedding anniversary.
