Pay: CAD $ 24/hour
Position requirement: must be available Sundays (8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
Position Summary
The Integration Aide works directly with children/youth aged 6-18. The Integration Aide is responsible for providing support to children/youth with developmental, emotional, social, learning, and/or behavioral challenges. The Integration Aide works under the Keshet Community Connections Supervisor
The following is a list of responsibilities for the Integration Aide:
Provides a safe and fun environment for the participant
Following specified plans to help best support the child/youth in a variety of environments (home/school/childcare/after-school programs etc..).
Implements individual programs in an accurate manner to improve: social skills, communication and life skills (i.e. communicating wants/needs, social play, academics, personal hygiene, peer interactions etc.)
Assist child/youth with life skills in areas such as toileting, handwashing, dressing, etc.
Collaborates with other employees to ensure the child/youth’s needs and goals are being met
Monitors child’s progress and maintain daily records of program goals.
Communicates effectively with parents/caregivers/other professionals about progress.
Candidate Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in the field of psychology, education, developmental services etc.
Minimum 1 - year experience with children/youth with special needs in a school/clinical setting
Organized, flexible and ability to multi-task
Microsoft Office
